La Gwda (allemand Küddow[1]) est une rivière du nord-ouest de la Pologne, et un affluent de la rive gauche de la Noteć.

Géographie

Elle a une longueur de 145 km et son bassin hydrographique couvre une surface de 4 943 km2[2].. Elle rejoint la Noteć à Ujście. Elle est un des lieux du kayak en Pologne. La Gwda traverse les villes suivantes:

Hydronymie

Dans une publication polonaise de 1926 la rivière a été nommée sous plusieurs noms différents tels que: Chuda, Chudda, Kudda, Kudowa, Gwda, Wda, Gda, Gwida, Gnida, Głda, Falin, Walin, Walni, Valim, Küddow, Kida[3]. Sur une carte militaire polonaise de 1936 elle figure sous l'exonymie polonaise de Głda[4].

Jusqu'en 1945 son nom allemand était Küddow[5]. En 1949 le nom de Gwda a été officielemt établi[6].
