Ylempi Potamos (m.kreik. Ποταμὸς καθύπερθεν, Potamos kathyperthen, lat. Potamus), joskus myös Ylempi Potamioi (Ποτάμιοι καθύπερθεν, Potamioi kathyperthen), oli antiikin aikainen Leontis-fyleen kuulunut Attikan eli Ateenan kaupunkivaltion muodostaneen alueen demos. Se kuului fylen asty-trittykseen eli kaupunkialueen demoksiin.[1]

Ylemmän Potamoksen sijaintipaikaksi oletetaan nykyinen Kaisarianín luostarin paikka Ymittós-vuoren rinteessä.[2] Sen alapuolella sijaitsi Alempi Potamos, joka oli erillinen demos.[3] Kumpaakaan näistä ei tule sekoittaa kolmanteen Potamos-nimiseen demokseen, Potamos Deiradiotaihin.

Demos perustettiin Kleistheneen uudistuksessa arkaaisen kauden lopulla vuonna 508 eaa. Sillä oli alun perin yksi tai kaksi edustajaa Ateenan bulessa eli neuvostossa. Hellenistisellä kaudella fyleissä ja demoksissa tapahtuneiden muutosten seurauksena demoksella oli myöhemmin kaksi bule-edustajaa.[4]

Demoksen kansalaisesta käytettiin demonyymiä Potamios (Ποτάμιος). Ionin hautapaikkana pidettiin joko Ylempää tai Alempaa Potamosta.[1]
