Wallina Valtin

Wallina Valtin (1866–1952) oli Turun Hamburger Börs -hotellin johtaja 50 vuotta vuosina 1894–1947.[1] Virolais-ruotsalaistaustainen Valtin muutti Suomeen Ruotsista 1890-luvulla ja osti Hamburger Börs -ravintolan 28-vuotiaana vuonna 1898. Vuonna 1904 Valtin avasi ravintolan yhteyteen hotellin, joka laajennettiin myöhemmin torin puolelle jugendtyyliseen rakennukseen.[1]

Valtinista löytyneiden tietojen mukaan hän palkkasi lähinnä naisia, harrasti voimailua ja kiersi kieltolakia. Valtin myös auttoi nuoria naisia kouluttautumaan myöntämällä vuosien aikana heille apurahoja. Hänellä oli ottotytär.[1]
