Reijo Työrinoja

Reijo Juhani Työrinoja (26. elokuuta 1948 Tampere – 18. marraskuuta 2023 Helsinki) oli suomalainen teologi ja professori.[1][2]

Työrinoja opiskeli teologiaa Helsingin yliopistossa ja valmistui teologian maisteriksi 1975, lisensiaatiksi 1981 ja väitteli tohtoriksi 1984 tutkielmalla Uskon kielioppi, joka tarkasteli uskonnollisten väitteiden ja käsitteiden luonnetta Ludwig Wittgensteinin myöhäisfilosofian valossa.[1] Työrinoja vihittiin papiksi vuonna 1975, ja hän työskenteli virallisena apulaisena Vanhankirkon seurakunnassa 1975–1976[3] sekä pappina Hangon suomenkielisessä seurakunnassa 1977–1983.[2]

Helsingin yliopistossa Työrinoja toimi vs. yliassistenttina 1983–1991, systemaattisen teologian professorina 1998–2012, osan aikaa myös teologisen etiikan ja uskonnonfilosofian professorina.[2] Vuodesta 2004 hän hoiti myös Turun yliopiston filosofian historian ja uskonnonfilosofian dosentuuria.[1]

Työrinojan tutkimusalueisiin kuuluivat keskiajan filosofia sekä enkelioppi. Hän julkaisi artikkeleita keskiajan ja modernin uskonnonfilosofian ja etiikan alalta sekä suomensi otteita Tuomas Akvinolaisen teoksesta Summa theologiae.[2]
