Portus

Portus ('hamina'[1]) eli Portus Trajani Felicis[2] oli antiikin Roomassa satama-alue Tiberjoen suulla. Se oli Rooman satamakaupungin Ostian ulkosatama ja kuului hallinnollisesti Ostiaan. Portus rakennettiin keisari Claudiuksen käskystä, ja satamaa laajennettiin keisari Trajanuksen käskystä. Alueella on nykyisin Rooman suurin lentokenttä Fiumicino.[1]

Portus kehittyi myöhäisantiikissa itsenäiseksi kaupungiksi.[3] Nykyisin satama-alue on Tiberjoen liettymisen vuoksi järvi.[2]

Ostian ja Portuksen välille syntyi nekropoli. Toisin kuin Ostiaa, Portusta ei juuri ole kaivettu esiin.[1]
