Kaarlo Sallinen

Kaarlo (Kalle) Sallinen (4. joulukuuta 1875 Liperi – 11. joulukuuta 1936 Kuopio)[1] oli suomalainen, kokoomustaustainen[2] lyseon lehtori, joka valittiin vuonna 1929 Kuopion ensimmäiseksi kaupunginjohtajaksi. Hän toimi virassa vuoteen 1936 asti.[3][4]

Sallisen vanhemmat olivat talollinen Antti Sallinen ja Maria Reijonen. Hän pääsi ylioppilaaksi Joensuun lyseosta 1895 ja valmistui Helsingin yliopistosta filosofian kandidaatiksi 1900 ja filosofian maisteriksi 1912. Sallinen toimi Salon, sittemmin Kokkolan suomalaisen yhteiskoulun matemaattisten aineiden opettajana 1900–1905 ja Kuopion lyseon lehtorina 1905–1928.[1]
