Children of Glory, televisiossa myös Vapaus, rakkaus,[1] (Szabadság, Szerelem) on Unkarin kansannousun 50-vuotisjuhliin valmistunut elokuva vuodelta 2006. Elokuvan ohjasi Krisztina Goda, ja sen taustalla olivat Rambo-elokuvien tuottajana tunnettu Andrew G. Vajna ja muun muassa elokuvan Basic Instinct – vaiston varassa käsikirjoittanut Joe Eszterhas.[2]

Juoni

Elokuva sijoittuu vuoteen 1956. Budapestissa neuvostotankit kukistavat verisesti Unkarin kansannousua. Samaan aikaan Unkarin ja Neuvostoliiton vesipallomaajoukkueet kohtasivat Melbournen olympialaisissa. Ottelusta muodostui yksi olympiahistorian kiihkeimmistä ja symbolisimmasta otteluista, joka tunnetaan myös nimellä Melbournen verikylpy.[1]

Arvioita

Ilta-Sanomien Timo Malmi arvioi Vajnan ja Eszterhasin taustan näkyvän elokuvan Hollywood-henkisenä toiminnallisuutena ja sentimentaalisen patrioottisuuden korkeaveisuna.[2]
