Alvin Sargent

Alvin Sargent

Alvin Sargent (12. huhtikuuta 1927 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – 9. toukokuuta 2019 Seattle, Washington) oli yhdysvaltalainen elokuvakäsikirjoittaja. Hän on voittanut Oscar-palkinnot elokuvista Muistojeni Julia (1978) ja Tavallisia ihmisiä (1980) ja ollut ehdolla vuoden 1973 elokuvasta Paperikuu.[1]

Muita Sargentin käsikirjoittamia elokuvia ovat Lain tällä puolella (1970), Entäs Bob? (1991), Spider-Man 2 (2004) ja Spider-Man 3 (2007).

Sargent valmistui Upper Darby High Schoolista vuonna 1945. Myös Alvinin veli Herb Sargent työskenteli käsikirjoittajana. Alvin Sargent oli avioliitossa tuottaja Laura Ziskinin kanssa vuodesta 2010 tämän kuolemaan 2011 saakka. Sargent kuoli 92-vuotiaana kotonaan Seattlessa 9. toukokuuta 2019.[2]
