Raimo Männis

Raimo Männis (sündinud 16. detsembril 1931 Rõstla külas Vana-Põltsamaa vallas) on eesti põllumajandustegelane ja kirjanik.

Ta sündis talupidaja perekonnas, isa pidas ka möldri- ja metsavahiametit, ema oli tal kooliõpetaja. Aastatel 1940–1948 õppis ta Kildu, Väinjärve ja Kirivere koolis, aastatel 1948–1952 Vändra Keskkoolis. Aastatel 1952–1957 õppis ta Eesti Põllumajanduse Akadeemias, mille lõpetas mehaanikainseneri kutsega.

Ta töötas aastatel 1957–1958 Viljandi masina-traktorijaamas, 1958–1959 töökoja juhatajana Suure-Jaani remondi- ja tehnikajaamas, 1959–1960 brigadirina Türi maaparandusjaamas, 1960–1961 maaparandusmehaanikuna Vändra remondi- ja tehnikajaamas, hiljem samas töökoja juhatajana.

Aastatel 1965–1992 oli ta Saue sovhoosi peainsener.

Aastatel 1965–1990 kuulus ta NLKP ridadesse.

Kirjanduslik tegevus

Kirjandusse tuli ta lastejuttudega 1954. aastal. Temalt on ilmunud ka lasteraamatud "Sünnipäevakink" ning "Poiss ja kuu".

Noorsoojutustus "Kiviküla kooli poisid" kujutab sõjajärgse maakooli (selles võib ära tunda Kirivere kooli) õpilasi. Romaanid "Valeühendused" ja "Heinatants" kujutavad maaühiskonna probleeme nõukogude võimu stagneerumise ajal. "Tagasiärastaja" käsitleb taasiseseisvunud Eesti külaelu probleeme.

Tema romaanid on kirjutatud ladusalt, hea elutundmisega, kujutusviis on asjalik, peategelased mõnevõrra suletud karakteriga.[1][2]

Kirjanike Liidu liikmeks võeti ta 1991. aastal.
