Portugali revolutsioon (1910)

1910. aasta Portugali revolutsioon ehk 5. oktoobri revolutsioon toimus 3.–5. oktoobrini 1910. Selle tulemusel kukutati Portugalis konstitutsiooniline monarhia ja kehtestati vabariik.

Revolutsioonile eelnenud aastatel olid Portugali kuningavõimu ja selle autoriteeti nõrgestanud Portugali kolooniaid puudutanud järeleandmised Suurbritannia nõudmistele, peaminister João Franco diktatuur, kuningas Carlos I mõrvamine 1908. aastal, kuningliku perekonna tohutud kulutused, katoliku kiriku suur võim ühiskonnaelus ja poliitikas, kaheparteisüsteemi kujunemine ja monarhia suutmatus ajaga kaasas käia. Seda nõrkust otsustasid ära kasutada vabariiklased eesotsas Portugali Vabariikliku Parteiga, kes viisid oktoobris 1910 läbi eduka revolutsiooni.

5. oktoobril 1910 kukutati kuningas Manuel II ja kuulutati välja vabariik. Võim läks Teófilo Braga juhitud ajutisele valitsusele, mis töötas 1911. aastaks välja uue riigikorra alused. 1911. aastal võeti vastu uus põhiseadus, mis tagas esmakordselt kõigile Portugali kodanikele peamised kodanikuõigused.
