Alfonso X

Alfonso X Tark (Alfonso el Sabio, ka Alfonso Astronoom; 23. november 1221 – 4. aprill 1284) oli Kastiilia kuningas alates 1252 ja Saksa kuningas alates 1257.

Mõned Saksa vürstid valisid Alfonso 1257 Saksa kuningaks, kuid tal polnud laiemat toetuspinda, tema tiitel jäi vaid sümboolseks. Tema katsed Saksamaa kuningriigis reaalset võimu kehtestada kukkusid läbi.

Kirjandus ja muusika

Alfonso X on pälvinud kuulsuse kunstide toetajana, tema õukonnas õitses kirjandus- ja muusikaelu. Tema kuningakojas ja tema eestvõtmisel pandi kokku "Cantigas de Santa Maria", keskaegses galeegi keeles kirjutatud ja neitsi Maarjale pühendatud laulukogumik. Mõned uurijad omistavad Alfonsole osa laulude autorsuse[1], mis võib olla vaieldav, aga kindlasti tõi ta žanrina kasutusse trubaduurilauluga sarnaneva religioosse sisuga cantiga.
