This two-level, underground station has an island platform.[4] It is located beneath the intersection of Zhongxin Rd., Sec. 5 and Guangfu Rd., Sec. 1. It was scheduled to open in March 2012 along with most of the Xinzhuang Line,[5] but opened for service earlier on 5 January 2012.[3]
Construction
Excavation depth for this station is 18.93 to 21.23 m (62.1 to 69.7 ft). It is 180 m (590 ft) in length and 16.55 m (54.3 ft) wide. The platform is 141 m (463 ft) long.[6] It has three entrances, one accessibility elevator, and two vent shafts.[4] One of the entrances is integrated with a joint development building.
Design
The theme for the station is "Steel Industry on the Sandbank" and includes features such as a perforated steel frame station entrance.[7] The roof is separated into two parts and a glass curtain wall which helps with lighting at night.
