This page is intended to be a hub for tracking events associated with the Newspapers on Wikipedia project. New participants can start by watching the tutorial in the 'Resources' tab then going to the 'Newspapers' tab for further instruction on what we're working on.

OpenEd 2018 Edit-a-thon

Middlebury Edit-a-thon

  • When: October 26, 3pm – 7pm
  • Where: Wilson Media Lab
  • Goal: Complete all Vermont articles

Monterey campus

  • When: October 26, 12pm – 4pm
  • Where: DLC Design Space
  • Goal: Central California papers (Monterey County and surrounding counties)

WikiCite 2018 conference

  • When: November 29, 2018, 9am-noon
  • Where: David Brower Center, UC Berkeley, room Tamalpais 1A
  • Goal: Write some newspaper articles; provide librarians etc. who have not yet written a Wikipedia article an opportunity to get started.
