Val-de-Fier (French pronunciation: [val də fjɛʁ], literally Vale of Fier) is a former commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. On 1 January 2019, it was merged into the new commune Vallières-sur-Fier.[2] Its nearest town is Rumilly.
The Fier forms most of the commune's south-western border.
Val-de-Fier was formed in 1973 from two different villages : Sion and Saint-André.
