Hi MCE89. You kindly assisted me [Architect632] in getting the wiki page for Anoma Pieris up. I am having trouble with my password and logging in and need some assistance with adding a further line to the page. After the line "In 2025, Pieris and Australian architect Athanasios Tsakonas are guest co-curating the exhibition Eucalypts of Hodogaya, with Victoria’s Shrine of Remembrance.[16]" can you please insert "In 2026, Pieris and Tsakonas are curating a travelling version of the exhibition Eucalypts of Hodogaya, which opened in April at the Yokohama Archives of History Museum"

Thank you for reviewing the case and for the explanation regarding the WP:TAIV data. I appreciate you taking the time to look into this.

I understand that the temporary accounts do not appear to be the same person based on the technical evidence. Given that the subject is currently officiating at the World Cup and has received significant off-wiki attention, I accept that these are likely multiple football fans arriving independently to make similar disruptive edits.

I do have two quick questions, if you don't mind:

First, does the technical data also show whether Maqaumat (talk · contribs) and Wafitauyan (talk · contribs) are connected to each other? My concern was primarily that these two registered accounts share a distinct political interest (Bangladeshi/Awami League topics) and edited the same page in a similar manner. If they are also unconnected, I am happy to drop the matter entirely.

Second, given that the page has already been protected and the disruptive accounts have been blocked or warned, is there anything further I should do at this point, or should I simply monitor the page and report any new disruptions at WP:AIV as you suggested?

Hi @BengalMC. Maqaumat and Wafitauyan are already indefinitely blocked, so there's no need for any further investigation of those two at this time. The page is now protected, but if you do see any further disruption feel free to make a report at AIV. Hi @AriuCH. Based on the block logs it seems like QwertyZ34 was blocked for operating bad hand sockpuppets (including Sexjididi, Deyygc56.2, Deyygc56 and SsssdAB) and for logged-out vandalism. They were blocked outside of SPI, and it doesn't look like there is a known connection to any older sockmaster. Let me know if that answers your question — you could also try checking with the blocking checkuser if needed, as they might be able to give you a fuller answer. ... or, well, one half of it. You see, when it learned that two new administrators had been elected at the same time, it got so excited that it broke in two. Alarmed, I asked it if it was okay, but it said to me, "As was prophesized in revision histories before the dawn of MediaWiki, the years of being held in worthy hands have granted me the ancient power of reversion. In the light of the next newly minted mop, shining with the power of community consensus, I will be reforged. Also, I'm good, dude; I'm a baton." I asked the baton how it was able to talk, not to mention how it had linked a spoken phrase, but it was WikiBroken, and was already on WikiBreak. I suppose we may never know. And so I humbly bring you this half of the fabled baton to continue its long line of succession. Just as you and Staraction ran the gauntlet together, so you are bound to run your leg of this race together too. And when the time comes, bring the two (incredibly realistic) halves together, pass it on, and fulfil the prophecy.

I'm a creative writing student at Curtin University, and I am passionate about filling the gaps on contemporary Australian literature (or OzLit) on wikipedia. I am particularly interested in in Western Australian literature.

I have started with a page for Patrick Marlborough's Nock Loose'' seeing as it was recently shortlisted for the WA Premier's Prize, and received so much media attention.

Hi there @OzLiterati and welcome to Wikipedia! Great to hear you're also interested in editing about Australian literature, and this is an excellent choice for your first article. Unfortunately it looks like your draft was deleted due to the use of a large language model to help write it, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. I'd suggest starting again without using any LLM tools, as these models are generally very bad at following Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You might find WP:YFA a helpful guide to writing your first article, and please do let me know if you have any questions at all! I'd be happy to take a look once you've created a new draft. yes, i took some bad advice from my lecturer (of all people) who told me to run what I'd originally written through an LLM to clean it up and code it. Lesson learned! If I rewrite from scratch, am I free to resubmit? This one is flagged for deletion, so I presume I'll have to wait until it's gone?

But I was right in thinking Nock Loose is suitable for a wikipedia entry? if so, that's encouraging! I have a list of similar titles. Should I make a page for the author, also? Patrick has a lot of other media stories about them (they're a well known writer and comedian), or does the author not qualify in the same way?

No worries at @OzLiterati, happy to help and I know it can be overwhelming here at first :)

To be eligible for a Wikipedia article a book needs to meet WP:NBOOK, which usually requires at least two published reviews of the book. These need to be in reliable publications (e.g. a newspaper or literary magazine, not blogs or similar). It looks like Nock Loose meets the criteria ([6] [7] [8]), so please do rewrite and resubmit the article!

Our inclusion criteria for authors are a little more complex - generally to meet the inclusion criteria for authors they need to have written at least two books that meet WP:NBOOK (i.e. 2 books, 2+ reviews each). Alternatively, they can meet the general inclusion criteria if there are at least two sources that are reliable, strictly independent of the subject, and discuss them in detail (e.g. a profile of them in a newspaper or magazine). I just wanted to make a comment to you, MCE89. When I work on Wikipedia, I have hundreds of tabs open for days (sometimes weeks) and I had User talk:20SS00 open becauase I was looking at some of their past category creations. When I came back to look at their user talk page days later, I noticed that they had retired several years ago but had a very long User talk page with tons of CSD notices. So I went into edit and decided to delete everything up to Mason's latest CSD notice and published the edit. It was only after I refreshed the screen did I see your comment about sockpuppetry. If you think our actions conflict, I can undo my edit but I really wasn't aware of the work you were doing at SPI and suspicions about them being a sockmaster. I just thought I'd reach out and explain as I didn't intend to step on your toes. MCE89, regarding your closure at SPI[9], I'm positive that they are Trigarta. No two people can edit in same manner, down to using same wording and especially when they are restoring sockmaster's edits, no matter how much the topic concerned is prone to attract people with a similar POV. I have some off wiki evidence as well for them being Trigarta but I'm not sure if and where it's suitable to be presented. @Sutyarashi, if you have off-wiki evidence that this user is Trigarta you can send it to the checkuser team privately through one of the methods at WP:CONTACTCU. I and another SPI clerk both looked at the case and didn't find the behavioural evidence sufficient for a sockpuppetry finding on its own. If there's further on-wiki evidence I'm happy to take a look, and if you have off-wiki evidence of a connection you're welcome to send it to the checkuser team. @Sutyarashi, there's no need to file another SPI if your new evidence is off-wiki. You can send the off-wiki evidence to the checkuser team privately and they will take action or ask you to file a new SPI report if needed. If there's further on-wiki evidence then you're welcome to make a new report, but my advice is still that you'd need to present stronger evidence than what you've shown so far to justify a sockpuppetry block solely on behavioural evidence. Hello MCE89 - you previously provided an assessment of probable meatpuppets connected with User:Serio31 (talk page). Further participation occurred with a new user Halloran today shown in this discussion.

Several editors on different articles are supporting the unconventional hypothesis in this publication from the Univ of Texas-Austin about a tendinopathy they call "mucoid degeneration". In my view, this is a COI violation and WP:PROMO for a clinical point of view not widely accepted in medicine.

I have not stepped into personal "outing" and will avoid this carefully (although unwise use of personal names for WP user names reveals their common location).

Wanted you to be aware of my position, and that I am observing the continuing activity of editors associated with Serio31 collaborating offline to promote the idea of mucoid degeneration with this one hypothesis publication. Will watch for your advice here.

Hi @Zefr. Thanks for the update on this. Given that the new account has disclosed their off-wiki connection to the others, I don't think meatpuppetry sanctions are warranted just yet. If these accounts start working together in a way that would be inappropriate if they were a single user, such as casting multiple !votes in a consensus-building discussion or restoring each other's edits in a way that would amount to edit warring for a single user, that would likely be a violation of the meatpuppetry policy and might require admin action. Let me know if the off-wiki coordination does start to be used to gain an upper hand in an on-wiki dispute in that way - until then you can treat them essentially as if they were a single user for Wikipedia's purposes.

The COI concern here is a separate issue and seems like a valid one, although it's probably not one that I'm best-equipped to handle. My suggestion would be to consider making a report at WP:COIN, or if you think your report would require linking these users to personal information that they have not disclosed on-wiki, you can make a report privately to WP:COIVRT.
