St James' Church, Sydney

Hi Amandajm,

Thanks for your comments about St James. All good points. However, I did not add any text in about Evangelicanism and also I cannot see on the article history where you have made any recent change so I am a bit bewildered. What am I missing? The light has dawned - I see what you are referring to. I made the mistake of thinking you were talking about the St James' Church, Sydney article because that is the one I am working on and the one I would like to get to featured article status one day. That is why I could not find the edits you commented on. Yes, thanks for fixing that cross reference. When I made that edit I was even more of a newbie than I am now and I agree it did not take account of the nuances, partly because I was focusing on the St James one. Terrifically helpful suggestions about how to improve St James' Church, Sydney. Thanks a lot. I will make the simpler suggested changes as soon as possible but my efforts on this are rather "on hold" at the moment while I help with the the Versailles project which is a very big and complex one. Being involved in it is teaching me quite a bit about Wikipedia in general and where/how things should go. The term of the Wikipedian-in-Residence who is leading it will soon expire so there is currently a lot of effort being expended on it. However, as part of my researches for the work on St James, I will be attending a seminar about Philip Arthur Micklem organised by the St James Institute on Saturday, 23 July.

By the way, may I say I really like your "Portrait of the artist as.." I love its combination of strength and whimsy; the playful idea combined with the boldness of form and the way the colours support that. I like the complementary red/green - fun and power; grey - something possibly foreboding or forbidding that seems also to be fleeting. I like the way the subject fills the frame. It's very appealing.
