Once again it is festive season, a time where festive decorations are displayed and gifts are swapped; but what about the true meaning of christmas? The true meaning of christmas is about the fight for freedom and how in times of hardship and misery, one person leads their people to freedom as a great warrior; for those who fight for a cause are warriors and those who fight for a worthy cause are great warriors. Such an act earns respect and honour; but most importantly, brings happiness to their people. So to achieve this as happiness lies in other people's happiness and greatness lies in how you deal with little people, we selflessly think of others in the hope that they will be happy this christmas.

Actually, that is coincidental. I think all of us who frequent the character discussions need to colloborate more on some of these projects and my hope is that rather than all of us going back in forth in AfDs, we first focus on improving the most important articles and then deal with the debateable ones (of course any that are hoaxs or copy vios can be deleted with no controversy). Anyway, what I was getting at with regards to the whole "not a guide" thing is something like Resident Evil 5 The Complete Official Guide: Collectors Edition. Sure it is a licensed publication, but is unquestionably a reliable source. Most importantly for our purposes, beyond the walkthrough, it devotes a huge section to "Behind the Scenes" from page 192 on. The section includes multi-page subsections on "Character Concepts" with various development information (at least a dozen full sized paragraphs) from modelers and production directors. It has additional subsections on "Motion Capture & Animation". So, for someone like Sheva, we have Yasuhiro Anpo, Production Designer, reveal "The designing of a female character is a killer assignment. We had to change and modify Sheva considerably to combine two qualities, feminine attraction and the strength of a fighting woman." Or we have Yosuke Yamagata, Modeler, say, "Sheva is a character who symbolizes one of the themes of RE5 - the 'bond of patnership'...." (he goes on for THREE paragraphs discussing her development). Now, of course, not all strategy guides have this stuff, but several of the ones I own do and I think we can reasonably agree that for something like the development sections they are reliable. Anyway, if you would like me to email you a draft of the list of published top ten lists from GameInformer and Electronic Gaming Monthly, let me know. My overall opinion is that any ones for which we can come up with both development sections and reception sections can exist as stand alone articles; those that are not hoaxes can be merged and/or redirected; and those that are hoaxes and/or have no redirect location can be deleted. As such, I am planning on only focusing in AfDs on those for which a realistic prospect of stand alone exists. Hello! I notice on your userpage that you list Nemesis (Resident Evil) as an A-article you contributed to. Please note my workspace at User_talk:A_Nobody/List_of_decisive_battles#Resident_Evil_series. Anyway, would you like to collaborate on getting the most significant characters from the series to DYK class? The two most "notable" female characters would have to be Jill Valentine and Claire Redfield (they appear as playable characters in multiple games, appear in the movie versions, and have multiple toys made of them and therefore we should be able to find sources on their appearances in the games, movies, and as toys) and probably Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield for the guys (the former appears in the animated movie and the latter as an action figure; both are main characters in multiple games). The others listed on my userfied page have potential, but I can accept them being in the character lists. Jilly, Claire, Leon, and Chris have the greatest likelihood of working as stand alone articles (I wouldn't be surprised if they don't appear in some top ten lists as well, which incidentally, while taking care of an ill family member, I have been going through back issues of Game Informer, Electronic Gaming Monthly, etc. to compile a master list of all of their top ten lists and if you are curious what I have discovered thus far, drop me an email; I figure no one can challenge the reliability of these particular magazines; I have been working with another on this as well as seen at User_talk:A_Nobody/Archive_25#Source_request).

Now for the plot section of the article on the character, the Bradygames Signature Series Guide devotes all of page 14 (three big paragraphs) specifically to this character and goes beyond just strategy type of information (noting for example the name's meaning ("man with claws"), i.e. we have two print reliable sources that provide out of universe commentary and importance. Next would be to see what kind of development information exists, but for a number of characters beyond Nemesis, we have some good sources out there. Something else to look at is “WTFiction!? Deciphering silly stories” by Jeremy Parish spread out across Electronic Gaming Monthly 221 (November 2007), Electronic Gaming Monthly 222 (December 2007), Electronic Gaming Monthly 223 (Holiday 2007), Electronic Gaming Monthly 224 (January 2008), and Electronic Gaming Monthly 225 (February 2008). Each of the installements devotes at least two full pages entirely to the items on the below list and includes (in the case of the above cited Resident Evil characters listings/commentaries on several characters, locations, weapons, etc.:

Dear A Nobody, here is a little note to say thank you for your kind vote on my request for adminship which failed with a final result of (40/19/12).
Thank you for your participation in my RfA which I withdrew after concerns of my knowledge of policy. Special thanks are owed to Coffee, who defended me throughout and whom I cannot thank enough for the nomination; to 2over0 for being supportive and helpful; to A Stop at Willoughby for the thorough, thoughtful and articulate support rationale; to IP69.226.103.13 for maintaining composure and for a pleasant interaction on my talk page and, last but not least, to Juliancolton who was good enough to close the RfA at my request and, frankly, because an editor whom I respect so much found the time to support me!
