Here's some trivia for you: one of the first Wikipedia articles I wrote (10th Jan 2004) was on the rather tasty topic of earwax. My main contribution is illustrating Wikipedia articles with photos... I've put the images I've contributed to Wikimedia Commons in a photo gallery [+ panoramas], with links to the Wikipedia articles they illustrate. So far, I've had four articles[1] and four pictures[2] on the main page.
