Name change

I'm thinking that perhaps the description of this template should be changed to British Empire Weapons. The British war effort effectively integrated the forces of all its colonies and dominions intio a single force. Hence while technically the British, Indian, Canadian, Australian, Nigerian etc. defence forces were separate entities, some with different weaponry, they all functioned as part of the British Empire, and this template should reflect the total range of weapons used.Rcbutcher 12:50, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal – I propose this navbox be split into Template:WWIBritishCommInfWeapons and Template:WWIBritishCommGuns (the exact naming is unimportant to me). This is consistent with British WWII weapon navboxes (Template:WW2 Brit Comm infantry guns & Template:WWIIBritishCommGuns) as well as other nation's WWI weapon navboxes:

• Template:WWIGermanInfWeaponsNav & Template:WWIGermanArtillery
• Template:WWIFrenchInfWeaponsNav & Template:WWIFrenchGuns
• Template:WWIUSInfWeaponsNav & Template:WWIUSGuns
• Template:WWIItalianInfWeapons & Template:WWIItalianGuns
