Hello, I'm Example and thank you for your contributions. You recently created a page in the form 'See [[link]]'; though useful, a redirect page is even more useful. You can create a redirect page by typing
#REDIRECT [[link target]]
This is very easy because this is the only thing you are required to do when performing a redirect. Redirects are more useful than See [[link]] pages because they automatically load up the target page when the original page is loaded, saving time; they are also easier to automatically monitor. Usage
{{subst:Uw-sl}}{{subst:Uw-sl|Article}}references a specific article{{subst:Uw-sl|Article|Additional text}}adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you"{{subst:Uw-sl||Additional text}}or{{subst:Uw-sl|2=Additional text}}also adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you", but doesn't link a page as specified by the article.
Please remember to substitute the template using {{subst:Uw-sl}} rather than {{Uw-sl}}.
To customize your message, parameters are available; one to add the article name, and one to add additional text at the end of the message. If your param value contains an equal sign (as urls often do), then be sure to explicitly specify the positional parameter by number; i.e., use |1= or |2= followed by the value; e.g., |1=XYZ=Repainting, or |2=https://www.bbc.com/search?q=Kent+weather.
