Great Recession → ? – Donald Trump is now causing a recession in USA, which is already in recession for the first time since 2020.[4] ~2026-94830-8 (talk) 18:11, 11 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Strong oppose: no evidence to suggest "Great Recession" is the name used for the economy under Trump or (if so) nearly as commonly as the late 2000s crisis. ―Howard🌽33 19:59, 11 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Origin of the name

Who named this The Great Recession? I might've missed it, but I would think this is something which would be explained in the first paragraph along with a reference.
