Editors who violate any listed restrictions may be blocked by any uninvolved administrator, even on a first offense.
With respect to any reverting restrictions:
Edits made solely to enforce any clearly established consensus are exempt from all edit-warring restrictions. In order to be considered "clearly established" the consensus must be proven by prior talk-page discussion.
Edits made which remove or otherwise change any material placed by clearly established consensus, without first obtaining consensus to do so, may be treated in the same manner as clear vandalism.
Clear vandalism of any origin may be reverted without restriction.
Reverts of edits made by anonymous (IP) editors that are not vandalism are exempt from the 1RR but are subject to the usual rules on edit warring. If you are in doubt, contact an administrator for assistance.
If you are unsure if your edit is appropriate, discuss it here on this talk page first. Remember: When in doubt, don't revert!
You haven't said what you think is wrong with the coordinates in the article, and they appear to be correct. If you still think that there is an error, you'll need to supply a clear explanation of what it is. Deor (talk) 14:37, 1 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

At last the Assad family have left Syria. Wonder who has welcomed in the criminal Al-Assad. Let us hope that no righteous Syrian will be injured or held "in prison". Rstonhold (talk) 16:17, 8 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Unexplained stripping of sourced material

@You can't cite another Wikipedia article, that's clearly WP:CIRCULAR. Please post on the talk page to explain and gain consensus for what changes you want to make, and cite actual reliable sources justifying them, instead of continuing to remove actually sourced information because you seemingly don't like it. Wouldn't've done our readers any good at all given you gave them absolutely nothing to verify what you wrote. Are they just supposed to take your word as an internet stranger for it? Remsense 🌈 论16:49, 28 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

"...is the capital and largest city of Syria"
The capital yes, apparently, and the article suggests that the Damascus urban area as a whole contains 5 million people – but the Aleppo article suggests that it is a larger city than Damascus proper. Harfarhs (talk) 21:11, 31 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Political administration of the city?
Latest comment: 4 months ago1 comment1 person in discussion
I think information about how the administration of the city works should be added. Who's the mayor, how is he elected (according to the german article he's named by ministor of interior but thats probably before fall of assad, etc. Oliklixer (talk) 19:49, 9 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Why does the Syria border with Jordan have a bunch of squiggly lines? It shouldn’t exist. As far as I know, it’s always been straight. We may have to ditch the interactive map; maybe entirely if nobody in OSM doesn’t address the problem.~2026-43770-07 (talk) 00:17, 9 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
