Michael Heinz Golding (born 23 May 2006) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Leicester City.

Club career

Born in Kingston, Golding started his career at the academy of AFC Wimbledon,^[2] before joining Chelsea in 2018.^[4] He signed his first professional contract in July 2023.^[5] Golding started training with the first team squad in 2023–24 season.^[4] On 6 January 2024, he made his first team debut against Preston North End at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup.^[6]

On 7 July 2024, Golding signed for Leicester City.^[7]

International career

Golding had represented England at under-16,^[8] under-17 and under-18 level.^[9][10] He had captained England at the 2023 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.^[11] Golding is also eligible to represent Republic of Ireland through his family.^[12]

On 2 November 2023, Golding was included in the England squad for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup.^[13]
