The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Peru to the Republic of India is the official representative of the Republic of Peru to the Republic of India.
The ambassador in New Delhi is generally accredited to neighbouring countries, such as Afghanistan (suspended since 2021),[1] Bangladesh, Iran, the Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka.[2]
Both countries established diplomatic relations on 26 March 1963, which have continued since.[3]

The new Ambassador of Peru, Dr Jeorge Ramirez del Rio, presented his credentials to the President on 26 March.
The Ambassador of Peru to India, Mr Jorge Ramirez Del Rio, (49), died here this evening, reports PTI. Mr Rio had been in coma since January 24. While his daughter is in the capital, the other members of his family are expected to reach here tomorrow.
