List of Indian reserves in Canada by population
This is a list of First Nation reserves in Canada which have over 500 people, listed in order of population from data collected during the 2006 Census of Canada , unless otherwise cited from Aboriginal Affairs.[ 1] Approximately 40% of First Nations people live on federally recognized Indian reserves .[ 2] Note: this list is incomplete in that many Indian Reserves are "Incompletely enumerated", meaning that "enumeration was not permitted or was interrupted before it could be completed."[ 3]
There are 13 Indian reserves which have not been enumerated in the last 3 censuses.[ 4]
