It was established on 1 January 2019 from the amalgamation of the communes of Méréville and Estouches.[3]

The highest temperature ever recorded in Le Mérévillois was 42.0 °C (107.6 °F) on 25 July 2019; the coldest temperature ever recorded was −18.0 °C (−0.4 °F) on 17 January 1985.
