Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?! (無職の英雄 別にスキルなんか要らなかったんだが, Mushoku no Eiyū: Betsu ni Sukiru Nanka Iranakattan da ga, "The Unemployed Hero Does Not Need Something Like Skills") is a Japanese light novel series written by Shichio Kuzu and illustrated by Yumehito Ueda. It was serialized online from November 2017 to May 2020 the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. It was later acquired by Earth Star Entertainment, who have published four volumes since July 2018 under their Earth Star Novel imprint. A manga adaptation with art by Akio Nanae has been serialized online via Earth Star Entertainment's Comic Earth Star website since November 2018 and has been collected in eight tankōbon volumes. An anime television series adaptation produced by Studio A-Cat is set to premiere in 2025.
Written by Shichio Kuzu, Hero Without a Class was initially serialized on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō from November 15, 2017, to May 15, 2020.[3] It was later acquired by Earth Star Entertainment who began releasing it under their Earth Star Novel imprint with illustrations by Yumehito Ueda on July 16, 2018. Four volumes have been released as of June 2019.[4]
A manga adaptation illustrated by Akio Nanae began serialization in Earth Star Entertainment's Comic Earth Star online magazine on November 12, 2018.[8] Its chapters have been compiled into nine tankōbon volumes as of March 2025.[9] The manga adaptation is licensed in North America by One Peace Books.[10]
An anime television series adaptation was announced on October 5, 2023.[22] The series will be produced by Studio A-Cat and directed by Kaoru Yabana, with Chabo Higurashi writing and supervising series scripts, and Kento Asahina composing the music. It is set to premiere in 2025.[1]
