  • Comment: You may find WP:CORPTRIV useful as a rundown of what kinds of coverage do not count toward notability because they're considered routine business matters.
I am not seeing any detailed analysis by independent sources. Just a basic description which could be constructed for any business. Please bear in mind that most businesses cannot have Wikipedia pages, and this does not reflect on the quality of the business. M kuhner (talk) 15:57, 21 August 2026 (UTC)

Novomind AG is a German-based software company. It was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Hamburg.[1] Novomind develops software for online shops, product information management (PIM) and customer service.[5][2][6][7]

Company structure

Stefan Grieben has been the company's CEO since January 1, 2022.[2] Novomind is an Aktiengesellschaft and therefore owned by its shareholders.[6] Founder Peter Samuelsen, who has since died, was the majority shareholder of the company until 2023.[2]

As of 2026, the company had over 500 employees in 8 locations. International branches are located in UAE, Egypt, France and Singapore.[4]

History

In 1999, the consultant Peter Samuelsen was commissioned to create an avatar, an early form of an online assistant, for a website. Samuelsen then founded the company Novomind to develop similar applications.[1] Initially, the company created figures and avatars to guide website users,[8] then developed chatbots for online sales and expanded to customer service in social networks.[2] The company officially commenced operations in early 2000.[8] By 2014, Novomind had around 180 employees and a revenue of 18 million.[9]

In the 2022 financial year, Novomind increased its revenue by a double-digit percentage.[6] Also in 2022, company founder Samuelsen retired from the company's management. He was succeeded by computer scientist Stefan Grieben, who had been working for the company since its foundation. Samuelsen remained the majority shareholder of the company[2] until his death in 2023.[10]

Products

Novomind works in the areas of digital commerce and customer service. Among other products, Novomind offers modular shop system and a PIM system that manages and organizes product information.[5] Novomind is also active in customer service automation, such as chatbots,[2] voicebots and email automation.[3] The company's software can be adjusted so data is only saved on national servers in compliance with national data protection laws.[4][11]
