Equisoft.[1] is a Canada-based software company that designs and develops digital solutions for the insurance and wealth management sectors.

History

Equisoft was established in Montreal (Quebec) in 1994[2] and focused on software development for the life insurance industry[3]. In the early 2000s, the company released several products tailored to the life insurance and financial services sectors, and aimed at policy administration, the digitalization of front-end tools, and financial planning[4], including Equisoft/analyze (2002), Equisoft/illustrate (2010)[5], Equisoft/manage (2018)[6].

As of 2023, Equisoft’s offerings included SaaS policy administration, CRM, financial needs analysis, financial planning, asset allocation, fund and portfolio analysis, quotes and illustrations, electronic application systems, agency management systems, and customer, agent, and broker portals[15].

Equisoft grew to about 900 staff by mid‑2024 through capital infusions, organic growth, and strategic acquisitions[15]. Equisoft was named by CNBC as one of “The World’s Top 150 InsurTech Companies: 2024” in the Policy Administration & AdminTech category[16].

In October 2025, Equisoft announced the launch of its new Equisoft/amplify suite of AI-enabled components aimed at leveraging operational intelligence by combining market and performance analytics with insurance-specific AI agents and workflows[17].
