Elijah Jonah Christmann [ɪˈlaɪdʒə ˈdʒoʊnə ˈkʁɪstman] (* 27.01.2005 in Heidelberg, Germany) is a German student, currently finishing his A-levels online.

Elijah was born on 27 of January 2005 at the Universitäts-Frauenklinik in Heidelberg, Germany.

When Elijah was 11 months old, he contracted a virus that left him with lifelong asthma.

Elijah discovered chess in 2010 at the age of five, a passion that has remained with him ever since.

Elijah attended an unknown primary school from 2011 to 2015.

After finishing primary school, he went on to secondary school where he attended the F+U Privatschulzentrum Heidelberg until he moved to Alicante, Spain in January 2020, while he was in the middle of year nine. He then attended ELIS International School in Villamartin, where he finished his IGCSEs in 2022. Elijah moved back to his hometown in Germany in February 2025 where he still resides.

Elijah also practiced judo for 4 years (2016–2019).

Elijah began playing chess when he was 5 years old because his grandfather defeated him shortly after teaching him the rules. He then joined his first chess club, whose name is unknown. He later joined Schachclub 1949 Rohrbach-Boxberg e.V.

He competed in numerous club matches. However, he took a break from the game while living in Spain. After returning to Germany, he resumed playing and even competed in some chess tournaments such as the Grenke Chess Open.

Elijah has had a passion for acting from a very young age and has stated that he has always dreamed of becoming an actor. He has taken part in a few acting classes and shows before, and has co-directed a school production in Spain. He also regularly participated in talent shows during his school years. He continues to pursue his ambition of becoming an actor.

Elijah has always struggled with sports due to the limitations caused by his asthma. Despite this, he developed a passion for strength training.

He also regularly plays football with friends as part of a close-knit group.
