Core is the fourth extended play (EP) by the South Korean singer Wonho. It was released on July 21, 2026, by Highline Entertainment. Its physical release was distributed by Kakao Entertainment, while its digital release was handled by The Orchard. The EP was released alongside "Don't Wake Me Up!", which serves as its lead single.

The EP was entirely produced by Wonho and frequent collaborator Enan, while its lyrics were written by Wonho, Enan, Sun Ahn and BrotherSu, with the latter appearing as a featured artist on the EP's closing track, "Promises". In support of Core, Wonho embarked on a run of promotional concerts in the United States, starting on July 11, 2026, and finishing on August 14.

Background

On June 22, 2026, Highline Entertainment confirmed Wonho was set to release a new album in July, marking his first release in nine months since his first solo studio album, Syndrome (2025).[1]

Concept and design

The EP's promotional photos were divided into three concept versions—"Raw", "Shell", and "Crack"—each released on July 6, 8, and 10, 2026, respectively.[2] The EP's physical release was issued on compact disc in four versions, three of which were named after the corresponding concept versions.[3]

The promotional graphics for Core incorporated imagery of shattered glass, cracked textures, and a dark color palette,[4][2] while the accompanying promotional images for the "Raw" version of the album depict Wonho in a setting resembling a ruin, featuring worn-out objects such as torn wings, an old bathtub, and a mattress.[5]

Promotion

On July 1, 2026, a promotional scheduler for Core was posted on Wonho's social media channels. According to the schedule, the EP's tracklist was revealed on July 3, followed by three sets of concept photos on July 6, 8 and 10. Three mood samplers for each concept version were released from July 13 to 15.[2] A teaser of the music video for "Don't Wake Me Up!" was released the following day.[6]

In support of Core, Wonho is set to hold a series of promotional performances in the United States, taking place in Lincoln, California on July 11, Cherokee, North Carolina on August 9, and Highland, California on August 14.[1]
