Buildbuddy was co-founded by Alix Baldwin (previously MD at comparison site Funeral Choice)[2] and Jamie Menzies (Zebra Property Group)[3]. It raised £1m in seed capital in 2024[4] and has support from past and present executives from Skyscanner, including Shane Corstorphine.[5]
In 2025 Buildbuddy was named one of Cemex Ventures Top 50 Contech Startups for 2025.[6]
