Adam Technology s.r.o. (trading as Adam) is a Czech technology company based in Prague that operates a digital platform connecting homeowners with vetted tradespeople. The platform offers services including painting, renovations, electrical work, and flooring across more than ten European countries and Australia.[1][2]
In 2025, the company ranked third in the main category of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Central Europe, a ranking of the fastest-growing technology companies in the region.[3]
Adam was founded in 2020 by Roman Sysel and Jakub Dvořák. The two met in 2016 while working at Bolt, where Sysel was the company's first employee in Central and Eastern Europe and Dvořák joined shortly after. Together they managed the expansion of Bolt's platform across European markets.[4][5]
The platform initially focused exclusively on interior and exterior painting services, operating under the domains mujadam.cz for the Czech market and other local domains internationally.[6]
In 2021, the company expanded to Slovakia as its first international market.[4] It entered the United Kingdom market in early 2022.[4] During 2023, Adam expanded its operations to more than ten European countries, including Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Greece.[7]
In 2024, the company added renovation and masonry services to its offering and expanded to Australia.[8]
In 2025, the platform launched electrical and flooring services in the Czech Republic and expanded these to Slovakia, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.[9] The company migrated its main website to the domain myadam.pro in the same year.[6]
The platform replaces traditional trade quotes with an online calculator that provides customers with an instant price estimate. Customers then select a date, and the platform assigns a vetted tradesperson available in their area. Tradespeople wishing to work on the platform must pass a vetting process that includes a supervised training day on a real job.[10][7]
As of early 2025, the company reported annual turnover exceeding 200 million CZK (approximately €8 million).[8]
In autumn 2022, the company raised a seed round of €1 million from Czech venture capital firm Presto Ventures and Markus Villig, founder and CEO of Bolt.[11][12]
In July 2024, the company raised €3 million in a late-seed round from UK-based Brighteye Ventures.[13][14][15] The funding round was also covered by Forbes Hungary.[16][17]
