At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 8,914 in 1,993 households.[6] There were 7,589 inhabitants in 2,155 households at the following census of 2011.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 6,839 in 2,127 households. The most populous of its 14 villages was Chenar, with 1,277 people.[2]
