Cascade YC Football Club (Welsh: Clwb Pêl-droed CI Penpedairheol) is a Welsh association football club based in the village of Penpedairheol (also known as Cascade), situated in the valleys of Caerphilly County Borough, Wales. The club was founded in 1974,[1] and currently competes in the Taff Ely & Rhymney Valley Alliance League.
They also have a women's team, who currently play in the Adran South. In the 2020-21 season they played in the Welsh Premier Women's League but were relegated due to a league restructure.[2][3]
Formed in 1974, Cascade FC began their football journey in the Rhymney Valley League, which they were in for many years.
In 2003, the club had achieved a bronze status and was the first youth club in the Caerphilly County Borough to do so. The club was also recognised by the Caerphilly County Borough, and in 2002 and 2003, the club won the Caerphilly County Borough's Club of the Year award. They also won the Taff Ely & Rhymney Valley League Bernard Martin Cup (TERV League Bernard Martin Cup for short) in the 2024-25 season, beating Rhydyfelin Non Pol 1-0 in the final.[4]
The team competed in the 2023-24 Welsh Cup qualifying stage and the 2024-25 Welsh Cup qualifying stage.
Cascade YC's run in the South Wales FA Senior Cup since 21-22. Note that this competition used to be called Loosemores SWFA Senior Cup and is now called Hugh James SWFA Senior Cup
