Bandera News Philippines is a regional broadcast company in the Philippines.[1][2] Its main headquarters is located in Macasaet Business Complex, Roxas St., Puerto Princesa. Bandera News operates a number of stations across the country under the Radyo Bandera brand, with Palawan Broadcasting Corporation serving as licensee for most of its stations, as well as its own television station in Palawan named Bandera News TV.[3]
History
Bandera News Philippines started its FM operations in Puerto Princesa, Palawan and it is owned by former RMN Davao and Brigada Palawan radio announcer and current station manager of Bandera News FM, Elgin Robert Damasco.[1] After several months, the company expanded to different cities and towns across the Philippines.[4]
On November 27, 2023, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has issued a cease-and-desist order against radio stations under Fairwaves Broadcasting Network, whose franchise lapsed in 2020. Among the stations were in Bukidnon, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental and Iligan, the latter which was never licensed by the NTC.[5] Damasco explained that the Bandera stations under Fairwaves had their ownership transferred to Palawan Broadcasting Corporation after the latter's franchise was granted in 2021.[6]

The following stations in Western Visayas and Negros Oriental are operated under an airtime lease agreement by 5K Broadcasting Network, Inc. (formerly Xanthone Plus Broadcasting Services) of Dr. Ramel Y. Uy. They are formerly affiliated with Radyo Bandera under Radyo Bandera Sweet FM until November 2023.
Like XFM, aside from its news and music programming, the stations airs gospel music every Friday 6pm to Saturday 6pm due to its owner's affiliation with the Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement.
