Anil was called back to the national team to play the home series against Canada after a fabulous performance in the 2024 PM Cup, scoring Most runs in the tournament playing for Madhesh Province. He scored a blistering 50 off just 19 balls in the first 2nd ODI of the tournament, his first chance after come-back. It was the fastest ODI fifty for a Nepali batsman beating previous record of Aasif Sheikh's 50 off 21 balls against PNG in 2023.[10]
Sah scored his first ton in ODI in his second appearance following the comeback against Canada in the 3rd ODI of the tournament. He scored 112* off 124 balls and won the player of the match.[11][12] His comeback story is something that will be heard for many years in the history of Nepal cricket, as the commentator said during the match. He was one of the 11 men playing squad in the very first ODI match of Nepal against Netherlands.
In November 2022, Sah started playing for Madhesh Province Cricket Association leaving previous Nepal Police Club.[14] He played inning of 61 runs with five fours and a six against Province No. 1 in PM Cup 2022. Anil scored the most runs in the 2024 Prime Minister Cup scoring 386 runs for Madhesh Province that led to his call up for the national side to play against the visitor Canada.[15]
