Alan Baraghush Rural District (Persian: دهستان آلان برآغوش)^[3] is in Mehraban District of Sarab County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.^[4] Its capital is the village of Alan.^[5]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 6,072 in 1,407 households.^[6] There were 5,666 inhabitants in 1,460 households at the following census of 2011.^[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 4,504 in 1,284 households. The most populous of its 20 villages was Alan, with 1,759 people.^[2]

Other villages in the rural district include Baraghush, Damirchi, Dijan, Jamalabad, and Sowmaeh Zarrin.
