The 2024 Nebraska Cornhuskers football team represented the University of Nebraska–Lincoln as a member of the Big Ten Conference during the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Cornhuskers were led by second-year head coach Matt Rhule, and they played their home contests at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Going into their game against Northern Iowa, the Cornhuskers were ranked in the AP Poll for the first time since 2019. Following a victory in said contest, the team achieved their first 3–0 start since 2016. Then, after knocking off rival Wisconsin for the first time since 2012, the team became bowl eligible. This marked the end of a postseason drought that dated back to that same 2016 season, the longest among college football power conference schools.[1][2]
