Ο Μόσχος Γικόνογλου (29 Φεβρουαρίου 1932 - 28 Μαΐου 2021) ήταν Έλληνας πολιτικός, ιδρυτικό στέλεχος του ΠΑΣΟΚ. Διετέλεσε βουλευτής Ημαθίας για 27 χρόνια (1977 - 2004) και υφυπουργός Γεωργίας στην κυβέρνηση του Ανδρέα Παπανδρέου (1982 - 1984).

Βιογραφικά στοιχεία

Γεννήθηκε το 1932 στο Βρυσάκι Ημαθίας. Αποφοίτησε από την Ανωτέρα Σχολή Υπομηχανικών- Μηχανολόγων Αθηνών.[1]

Εργαζόταν από τα παιδικά του χρόνια, και σε ηλικία 15 ετών έγινε μέλος του Σωματείου Μετάλλων του Εργατικού Κέντρου Θεσσαλονίκης. Υπήρξε στέλεχος της Ενιαίας Δημοκρατικής Αριστεράς (ΕΔΑ) και πρόεδρος της Πανελλήνιας Οργάνωσης Νεολαίας της, αλλά αργότερα αποχώρησε για να συνεργαστεί με τους τροτσκιστές του Μιχάλη Ράπτη,[1] γνωστού και ως Πάμπλο, ενώ πραγματοποίησε επισκέψεις στη Σοβιετική Ένωση και στην Κούβα του Φιντέλ Κάστρο.

Το 1964 συνάντησε για πρώτη φορά τον Ανδρέα Παπανδρέου, τον οποίο έκτοτε ακολουθούσε. Μεταπολιτευτικά, υπήρξε ιδρυτικό μέλος του ΠΑΣΟΚ στην Ημαθία και γραμματέας της Νομαρχιακής Επιτροπής, ενώ εκλεγόταν συνεχώς βουλευτής για 27 χρόνια, από το 1977 μέχρι το 2004.

Τον Ιούλιο του 1982 τοποθετήθηκε υφυπουργός Γεωργίας, με υπουργό τον Κώστα Σημίτη, με τον οποίο σχεδόν αμέσως συγκρούστηκε. Παρέμεινε υφυπουργός μέχρι τον Φεβρουάριο του 1984.[2]

Ο γιος του, Θανάσης Γικόνογλου, υπήρξε βουλευτής Ημαθίας του ΠΑΣΟΚ την περίοδο 2009 - 2012, ενώ ο ξάδερφός του Μπάμπης Γκιόνογλου ήταν για πολλά χρόνια δήμαρχος Αλεξάνδρειας.
