Το εθνόσημο της Γρενάδας υιοθετήθηκε μετά την ανεξαρτησία της, το 1974 και δείχνει έναν θυρεό, ο οποίος χωρίζεται σε τέσσερα μέρη από ένα χρυσό σταυρό. Στο κέντρο αυτού του σταυρού απεικονίζεται το πλοίο «Σάντα Μαρία» του Κολόμβου. Στον πρώτο και στον τελευταίο τομέα -πάνω δεξιά και κάτω δεξιά- υπάρχει το χρυσό βρετανικό λιοντάρι σε κόκκινο φόντο, ενώ στους άλλους τομείς βρίσκονται χρυσά μισοφέγγαρα, έξω από τα οποία ξεφυτρώνει ένας κρίνος. Πάνω από το θυρεό υπάρχει ένα χρυσό στέμμα, με πολλά κλαδιά από θάμνους μπουκαμβίλιας επάνω σε αυτό. Μέσα στο άνθος βρίσκονται επτά κόκκινα τριαντάφυλλα, που συμβολίζουν τις επτά κοινότητες της Γρενάδας. Το σύμβολο το κρατάει ένα αρμαντίλο, που στέκεται εμπρός από ένα καλαμπόκι. Στην άλλη άκρη βρίσκεται ένα περιστέρι, που στέκεται μπροστά από μια μπανανιά. Όλα αυτά βρίσκονται σε περιοχή με γρασίδι με μια λίμνη, πάνω στην οποία βρίσκεται μια κορδέλα που φέρει το ρητό: Ever conscious of God we aspire, build and advance as one people. («Πάντα έχοντας επίγνωση του Θεού που θαυμάζουμε, χτίζουμε και προοδεύουμε ως ένας λαός»).
