Η Κοινότητα Γαβαλοχωρίου είναι κοινότητα του Δήμου Αποκορώνου στην Περιφερειακή Ενότητα Χανίων της Κρήτης. Συστάθηκε το 1925 με το ΦΕΚ 27Α - 31/01/1925 και έδρα της ορίστηκε ο οικισμός Γαβαλοχώρι.[1] Εκτός από την έδρα της, περιλαμβάνει και τον οικισμό Άσπρο. Η απογραφή του 2011 αναφέρει:[2]

Συνολικά η κοινότητα έχει 647 κατοίκους και εκπροσωπείται από πενταμελές συμβούλιο με επικεφαλής την Πρόεδρο κ. Αικατερίνη Μπακατσάκη. Οι κάτωθι εκλέχθηκαν και υπηρέτησαν (ή υπηρετούν) ως πρόεδροί της:
