Melysyn sy'n cynnwys cneuen neu hedyn a orchuddir gan nifer o haenau o siwgr yw conffit,[1][2] conffet,[1] cwmffet,[1][3] neu cwnffet.[3] Yn yr 17g darganfyddodd gwneuthurwyr melysion sut i newid ansawdd conffits drwy newid cyfran y siwgr yn y surop a ddefnyddir. Yng Ngwledydd Prydain arferid gwneud conffits caru, neu losin caru, o hadau carwe i bereiddio'r anadl. Yn ogystal â'i fwyta fel melysion ar ben eu hunain, cafodd conffits hefyd eu defnyddio mewn melysfwydydd a phwdinau eraill megis gwneud teisen garwe gyda chonffits carwe.[4]

Maent yn debyg i'r melysyn Ffrengig dragée. Heddiw tueddir i alw melysion tebyg gan eu henwau unigol, megis siwgr-almonau, melysion mân, a losin rhesog, yn hytrach na'r hen air conffit.[4]

Mae etymolet y gair conffit (neu confit) yr un gwraidd â conffeti a deflir mewn priodasau a dathliadau eraill.
