Roedd hard tack y forlu Brydeinig yn un o'r bisgedi cynharaf, a phasiwyd hyn ymlaen trwy ddiwylliant Americanaidd. Cynhyrchwyd bisgedi Hard Tack drwy'r 19eg ganrif.
Bisgedi Prydeinig
Cynnyrch fflat a chaled wedi ei bobi yw bisged, a gall fod yn felys neu'n sawrus. Gall gael ei alw'n "cwci" neu'n "cracyr" yng Ngogledd America. Mae'r term bisged hefyd yn cyfeirio at fisged fel brechdan, sydd â haenen o eisin neu hufen rhwng dau fisged. Ym Mhrydain, defnyddir y gair cwci i gyfeiro at math arbennig o fisged yn unig, sef un meddalach megis "cwci sglodion siocled".
