Alimentació

Menja crustacis petits.[5]

Hàbitat

És un peix marí, associat als esculls de corall i de clima tropical (32°N-32°S) que viu entre 0-68 m de fondària.[3][6]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba des del mar Roig i l'Àfrica oriental fins a Samoa, Tonga, el sud del Japó, l'illa de Lord Howe, les illes Mariannes, el mar d'Arafura i Austràlia.[3][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27]
