Funkcija
Unc93A je natporodica (MFS) i navodno rastvornih nosača kod ljudi.[ 7] [ 8] Pripada atipskim SLC-ovima koji su nedavno referirani.[ 7] Stoga se pretpostavlja da je UNC93A transportni protein .
UNC93A je blisko povezan sa proteinima UNC93B1 i MFSD11 .[ 9] [ 10]
Na UNC93A utiče nedostatak aminokiselina u kulturama ćelija korteksa [ 8] [ 9] i izgladnjivanje u uvjetima in vivo .[ 9]
Eksprimira se u neuronima , sa bojenjem blizu plazmamembrana .[ 9]
