The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (Dobar, loš, zao) jest album italijanskog kompozitora Ennija Morriconea s muzikom za istoimeni vestern u režiji Sergia Leonea. Morriconeove distinktivne originalne kompozicije, koje sadržavaju pucnjeve, zviždanje i jodlanje, protkane su kroz film. Glavna tema, koja liči na zavijanje kojota, jest dvonotna melodija, koja je čest motiv i koristi se za 3 glavna lika, na različitom instrumentu za svaki od njih: flauta za Blondieja (Bezimenog čovjeka), okarina za Anđeoske Oči i ljudski glasovi za Tuca.[1][2]

Album se smatra[3] jednom od najboljih i najoriginalnijih filmskih muzika u historiji.

Muzika je komplementarna s Američkim građanskim ratom prikazanim u filmu i sadrži tužnu baladu "The Story of a Soldier" ("Priča o vojniku"), koju pjevaju ratni zarobljenici dok Anđeoske Oči muči Tuca.[4] Čuveni vrhunac filma, trostruka meksička situacija, počinje melodijom "The Ecstasy of Gold", koju slijedi "The Triple Duel". Mnogi filmski kritičari smatraju ovaj epski obračun jednim od najnapetijih vrhunaca ikad snimljenih, a muzika je sastavni dio cijele drame.

Glavna tema bila je hit 1968. Album je bio na top-listama više od 1 godine,[2] dosegavši 4. mjesto na Billboardovoj listi pop-albuma.[5] Također je bila hit američkog muzičara Huga Montenegra, čije je izvođenje ove kompozicije na Moogovom sintisajzeru došlo do 2. mjesta Billboardove top-liste pop-singlova 1968.[6][7][8]

Album je digitalno obrađen i ponovo objavljen 2004. od strane Capitol Recordsa i imao je 10 dodatnih kompozicija iz filma. Evropsko izdanje iz 2001 (izdavač GDM music) sadrži čak i više muzike, s vremenom trajanja od 59:33.[7][8]
