Kovin u Polimlju

Na području Polimlja koje je ušlo u sastav srednjovjekovne bosanske države 1373. godine nalazi se i utvrđenje Kovin. Pripadala je rodu Kosače. Tvrđava Kovin smještena je na lijevoj obali rijeke Lim, na oko osam kilometara sjeverno od Prijepolja u blizini sela Džurova. Kovin se nalazi na teško pristupačnom kamenitom uzvišenju koje čini nekoliko zaravnjenih platoa na 698m nadmorske visine. Terase su međusobno povezane uklesanim stepenicama. Najveći dio Kovina tako je bio prirodno utvrđen strmim liticama, a normalan pristup bio je sa jugozapadne strane. Na najvišoj terasi je masivna četvorougaona kula, a na terasastim površinama su ostaci manjih objekata i cisterna. [1] Tvrđava se spominje u poveljama za Stjepana Vukčića Kosaču (1448: castrum Konin; 1454: civitate Chouino cum castris et pertinentiis suis). [2]
