শান্তিসুধা ঘোষ (২৭ জুন ১৯০৭ — ৭ মে ১৯৯২) ছিলেন ভারতীয় উপমহাদেশের ব্রিটিশ বিরোধী স্বাধীনতা আন্দোলনের একজন ব্যক্তিত্ব।[১]

জন্ম ও পরিবার

শান্তিসুধা ঘোষ ২৭ জুন, ১৯০৭ সালে বরিশাল জেলায় জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। কিন্তু পিতৃভূমি ছিল বরিশালের গাভা গ্রামে। তার পিতার নাম ক্ষেত্রনাথ ঘোষ ও মাতার নাম অন্নদাসুন্দরী ঘোষ। দেবীপ্রসাদ ঘোষ ছিলেন তার জ্যেষ্ঠ ভ্রাতা।[২]

শিক্ষাজীবন

১৯২৪ সালে ম্যাট্রিকে পাশ করে ব্রজমোহন কলেজে ভর্তি হন। আই.এ পরীক্ষাতেও তৃতীয় স্থান অধিকার করেন এই মেধাবী ছাত্রী। অঙ্কে অনার্স নিয়ে তিনি ১৯২৮ সালে বি.এ. পাশ করেন। প্রেসিডেন্সি কলেজে মিশ্র-গণিত নিয়ে এম. এ. পড়েন।

রাজনৈতিক জীবন

ছাত্রী হিসাবে তিনি মেধাবী ছিলেন। কিন্তু ছাত্রাবস্থায় রাজনীতি করেন নাই। ১৯১৯ সালে জালিয়ানওয়ালাবগের হত্যাকাণ্ডের পড়ে নিজের মধ্যে রাজনৈতিক চেতনার জাগ্রত হয়। তিনি ১৯৩১ সালে মেয়েদের নিয়ে 'শান্তি বাহিনী' নামে সংঘ গড়ে তোলেন। ১৯৩৩ সালের ১১ নভেম্বর ভিক্টোরিয়া কলেজ থেকে সন্দেহক্রমে গ্রেপ্তার হন। 'ভারত ছাড়' আন্দোলনে যোগ দেয়ায় তিনি গ্রেপ্তার হন। ১৯৪২ সালে ২ সেপ্টেম্বর। 'নিখিল ভারত মহিলা সম্মেলনে'-এর ভারপ্রাপ্ত সদস্য ছিলেন।[২]
