বিভিন্ন ধরন ও ডিজাইনের ল্যানজারি

লাঁজরি (ফরাসি: Lingerie) নারীদের জন্য নির্মিত এক প্রকার ফ্যাশনেবল ও পরিচিত অন্তর্বাসের নাম। এটি এসেছে ফরাসি শব্দ ‘লাঁজ ’ (linge) থেকে, যার অর্থ ‘ধৌত করা যায় এমন’। যেমন: ফরাসি faire le linge অর্থ ‘ধৌত করো’। লিন (lin) দ্বারা ধৌত করার উপযোগী লিনেন জাতীয় কাপড়কে বোঝানো হয়। প্রথমত মিশর ও পরবর্তীতে ভারত থেকে তুলা আমদানীর আগ পর্যন্ত ইউরোপে লিনেন জাতীয় কাপড় দ্বারাই অন্তর্বাস তৈরি করা হতো।

ল্যানজারির ধারণা ব্যপ্ত হতে শুরু করে উনিশ শতকের শেষ দিকে। লুসিলের লেডি ডাফ-গর্ডন হচ্ছে ল্যানজারি শিল্পের অন্যতম একজন অগ্রদূত। তিনি নারীদের রক্ষণশীল কর্সেট থেকে বেরিয়ে এসে অন্যান্য ল্যানজারি পরিধানে ভূমিকা রেখেছেন। বিশ শতকের প্রথম অর্ধাংশ পর্যন্ত নারীরা অন্তর্বাস পরিধান করার চলকে গ্রহণ করেছেন মূলত তিনটি কারণে:

  • দেহাকৃতি পরিবর্তনের জন্য (প্রথমে কর্সেটের সাহায্যে, পরবর্তী গার্ডল বা বক্ষবন্ধনীর মাধ্যমে)।
  • পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্নতা আনয়নে।
  • শালীনতাবোধ চর্চা করার সুবিধার্থে।

ক্রিনোলিন আবিস্কারের আগে নারীদের অন্তর্বাস ছিলো অনেক বড়সড় ও স্থুলাকায়। বিশ শতকের পোশাক শিল্পের উন্নতির ছোঁয়ায় অন্তর্বাস আরও ছোট ও আরও সহজে পরিধেয় হয়ে ওঠে। ১৯৬০-এর দশকে কিছু বিতর্কিত ল্যানজারি নির্মাতা প্রতিষ্ঠানের (যেমন: ফ্রিডরিক’স অফ হলিউড) ল্যানজারিকে গ্ল্যামারাইজ করার কারণে আস্তে আস্তে ল্যানজারির ডিজাইন ও প্রকারে যৌন আবেদনের ছোঁয়া আসতে থাকে। একুশ শতকে এসে ল্যানজারি শিল্প বেশখানিকটা বিস্তৃত হয়।

বাজারের গঠন

একুশ শতকের ল্যানজারির বাজারে প্রযুক্তির একটি বড় স্পর্শ রয়েছে। যেমন: বিভিন্ন ধরনের সূতা বিভিন্ন ডিজাইনের ল্যানজারি নির্মাণে ভূমিকা রেখেছে। এর মধ্যে আছে লেসার-কাট সিমলেস ব্রা, মল্ডেড টি-শার্ট ব্রা। ডিজাইনাররা সমৃদ্ধ ও আরামদায়ক কাপড়ের দিকে ঝুঁকছেন। লেস এমব্রয়ডারি ও বিভিন্ন রংয়ের বিন্যাস ঘটানোর মাধ্যমে বিভিন্ন ডিজাইনের ল্যানজারি তৈরি করা হচ্ছে।

২০০৩ সালে বিশ্বব্যাপী ল্যানজারির বাজারের অর্থমূল্য ছিলো প্রায় ২,৯০০ কোটি মার্কিন ডলার।[১] ২০০৫ সালে মোট বাজারের মধ্যে বক্ষবন্ধনীর (ব্রেসিয়ার বা ব্রা) অংশ ছিলো প্রায় ৫৬%, ও ব্রিফের অংশ ছিলো প্রায় ২৯%।[২] বিশ্বের সর্ববৃহৎ ল্যানজারি নির্মাতা প্রতিষ্ঠান ভিক্টোরিয়া’স সিক্রেট উত্তর আমেরিকায় বিপুল পরিমাণ ব্যবসা করে। এদিকে ইউরোপীয় বাজারে রাজত্ব করে ট্রায়াম্ফ ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ও ডিবি অ্যাপারেলের মতো বড় বড় প্রতিষ্ঠান।[৩]
